FAQs

  • How do I care for my new tattoo?
    · Always wash your hands before cleaning, applying lotion, or touching your tattoo! · Keep your new tattoo wrapped in the Dermshield for 5 full days. At the end of the 5th day, peel off the Dermshield (running hot water over it in the shower works best). Wash your tattoo with an unscented antibacterial soap, using the pads of your fingers until all the excess ink is cleaned off and it’s smooth to the touch. The original Dial hand soap is recommended. · Gently pat your tattoo dry with a paper towel- do not use bath towels as they can harbor bacteria. DO NOT wash with any kind of cloth or shower sponge as they are abrasive and can damage the tattoo. · For the next 10-14 days, wash the tattoo 2-3 times a day and apply a small amount of the Redemption Aftercare Ointment. You want to use the thinnest amount possible to moisturize it. A little goes a long way. If you applied too much ointment- pat it gently with a paper towel to remove the excess. Remember to always use clean hands and do not place your fingers back in the ointment after touching your tattoo. DO NOT RE-WRAP YOUR TATTOO WITH SARAN WRAP. DO NOT use petroleum based products such as Vaseline or Triple Antibiotic Ointment, Aquaphor, or A&D ointment, as these products can clog the pores and disrupt the healing process. This can cause your pigment to lighten and the tattoo to heal less vibrant. · When the Dermshield is removed on the 5th day, your tattoo will begin to peel and flake like a sunburn. This is a 100% normal stage of the healing process. DO NOT PICK AT THE FLAKING SKIN! If the tattoo is itching, you can lightly pat it with a clean hand- DO NOT scratch your tattoo. · Avoid sleeping in a position where your sheets/blankets have direct contact with your tattoo- the material can become stuck to your tattoo. If this does occur DO NOT pull the material off the tattoo. Take the sheet/blanket/clothing to the shower and run warm water over it until it releases from the surface of your skin. · A small percentage of people may be allergic to the adhesive in Dermshield. This may cause irritation to the area and it may swell and become red and painful. If this happens, remove the Dermshield immediately and wash with unscented antibacterial soap. Things to avoid: DO NOT pick, scratch, peel, rub, or irritate your tattoo. You can shower, but DO NOT submerge your tattoo for atleast two weeks. NO SWIMMING, SOAKING, POOLS, OR HOTTUBS. DO NOT expose your tattoo to the sun for atleast 3 weeks. After then, always use sunblock to protect your tattoo. DO NOT wear abrasive materials, jewelry, or shoes that rub against your tattoo. DO NOT let anyone touch your tattoo unless they have thoroughly washed their hands. BEWARE of gym equipment. Wipe down all equipment thoroughly before use. If any scabbing occurs DO NOT pick at it. Keep applying the Redemption Ointment as directed until they fall off on their own. Be aware that it is still possible to have transmission of a bloodborne disease or infection as a result of a body piercing or tattoo. If you do not take care of your tattoo, it can become infected or damaged. Infections are very red around the outside of the tattoo and may be hot to the touch. It may have thin red lines extending from it. It may ooze, pus, or bleed abnormally. If you think your tattoo is infected, seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY.
  • How do I book an appointment?
Your first step is to check out our artists portfolios and see who's style you vibe with best! From there, we have a section here on our website that says "BOOK". You can follow that link and give us your information. You will then be contacted by our Shop Manager, and forwarded to the artist you've chosen or to whoever will be the best fit for your project! You can also message the artists directly via the avenues posted on their profiles, or you can message any of our social media accounts to set up a consultation! You are also always welcome to call or drop in the shop- we love seeing you guys in person! If you’re interested in a tattoo, but don’t know which artist you would want to do it, we suggest coming in and speaking with our staff about your ideas. We are very skilled at pointing you to the right artist with the availability to handle your request. Our artists all have differing availabilities for booking. Most try to book on a quarterly basis so as not to have clients waiting 6 months to a year for an appointment. Some artists will have availability as soon as the following days or weeks- you give us a time frame and we'll work on getting you in the chair when you want to be! Flexibility is key if time is the only factor you are considering with being tattooed.

  • Where are you located?
1402 South Commerce St. Ardmore, OK 73401
  • How much does a tattoo cost?
The cost of your tattoo depends on a number of factors including size, placement, skin type, and color vs. black and gray. We have four artists working at a rate of $150 an hour, and a second year apprentice working at $100 an hour. Tattoo pricing is based off of how long the tattoo takes to do! We have a shop minimum of $100 that covers all pieces that take less than an hour to tattoo!
  • Can you tell me a price over the phone?
We cannot quote prices over the phone, it’s just too difficult to be able to ensure accurate quotes until we have the chance to see the piece and placement. A consultation will most always be needed to determine how much a piece will cost.
  • Do you tattoo minors?
NO. Oklahoma State Law states that no person under 18 may be tattooed in any establishment.
